WAS THOMAS EDISON A GENIUS

BECAUSE HE INVENTED THE LIGHT BULB, OR

BECAUSE HE TURNED IT OFF WHEN HE LEFT THE ROOM?

Did you know that 90% of an incandescent light bulb's expended energy isn't light, but heat? Lights that are left on when you don't need them waste energy and produce heat, making your air conditioner work harder. Sure, maybe turning off one light bulb won't make much of a dent in your light bill but little changes in habits throughout the house can really add up.

If an incandescent light bulb symbolizes a good idea, a fluorescent bulb must symbolize a great one.

Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFLs) are four times more energy efficient than incandescent bulbs and provide the same lighting without emitting the same kind of heat. And now they come in a variety of warmer tones. CFLs are a little more expensive, but they generally last ten times longer than incandescent bulbs.
